Start animating! Running cycle

I made a test on the timing of the animation and it seems alright but there might have slight changes at the end.

At the first scene, the lamb will be running therefore I will draw one running cycle and make it loop, use the position key in after effect and allow it to run across the monitor. I found some useful guidelines on animating a running cycle online and which I followed.

As usual, I drew an outline of the shape first to see if the movement is naturally drawn. After that, I applied another layer and draw the details and colour on top.

I found the twist of body in running is quite hard to draw by line, so I use shadowing to bring out the depth of the body. I have also gained advise from Mike about how to improve the move during class therefore I made slight changes on the stretching and squashing eventually.

I think the end product looks very nice and I am proud of it. I have improved so much when comparing this to my first animated walking cycle. During the process, I paid attention to the mass of the body and the gesture, also the secondary movement like the ears and the hair which I am very happy with.
